All works in LIQUID LYERS même l‘eau a l‘air fausse (engl.: even the water seams unreal) (2017) stem from a long term stay in South America in 2015/16. They examine our perception and the depicting of the ,foreign‘ through the photographic image. While they always indicate a touristy glance they dont focus neither on showing an unknown yet specific landscape ,as it is‘ nor pointing out a potentially critical aspect of tourism.
Those two layers of tourism become readable only in their negation by giving very few hints on concrete locations and only implying human presence. The images are meant to be representatives that question the photographic image through the layer of tourism context.
